Day 26

 Day 26

Following along to the Udemy course How to Draw Cute Cartoon Characters. Here we have changed the Kawaii rabbit to be more cartoony by adding cartoon eyes, a nose and changing the mouth. The rest of the rabbit stays the same. I've almost completed the short course but it will probably be one that I revisit now and again as I feel I have learnt so much. The simplicity of the course itself and the instructors delivery makes for an interesting course in which you don't get bogged down in detail, but rather see results quickly whilst getting in lots of practise. Highly recommended for beginners or for anyone just wanting a bit of fun learning the Kawaii style.

Day 10

Inking

This is me just trying to find my preferred Inking Brush inside Clip Studio Paint. I think my preferred method, mainly for control, is using the Continuous Curve vector line on a vector layer, as I find this gives me more control over my lines; plus I can always go back and edit the size, curve, endings, etc of the line. I can imagine over time that this may not always be my preferred method of inking, but for now it works for me just fine.

Day 3 began as an exercise is drawing quick circles on a page and ended with the addition of cartoon facial features based on ideas found in Cartoon The Head & Figure by Jack Hamm.

 Stickmen

I don't know what it is about them but I just love drawing the occasional stickman. Ideas can be found on Google or Pinterest.

Day 1

Day 1

Day 1 of my infinite Draw Every Day Challenge, with me hopefully posting most of the daily efforts on this blog. Most of my drawings for the foreseeable future will be freehand copies of stuff just whilst I improve and get the feel for drawing in general. This drawing is from Cartooning The Head and Figure by Jack Hamm.
